Dr. Sherry Pagoto is a licensed clinical psychologist, Professor of Allied Health Sciences at UConn, Director of the UConn Center for mHealth and Social Media, and Past-President of the Society of Behavioral Medicine, the leading organization for research at the intersection of behavioral science and public health. In her current studies she is developing and evaluating health communication for social media delivery on topics including obesity, cancer prevention, and COVID19 vaccine uptake. She has had federal funding for her research for 17 years and has published 210 papers in peer reviewed journals. Devoted to science communication, she has contributed to the Washington Post, USA Today, US News and World Report, Chronicle of Higher Education, STAT News, Times Higher Education, MedCityNews, and Psychology Today.
