Biography

Amira Silverman graduated from Skidmore College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Spanish with minors in Intergroup Relations and Gender Studies. Her research interests include firearm violence prevention, particularly in connection to social identity. She is currently a clinical research assistant on the CDC R01 grant, “Reframing Firearm Injury Prevention Through Bystander Interventions for Youth Shooting Sports Participants.”
